Stanley E. Elcock is a 3rd generation Professional Civil Engineer, owner of SEE Engineering, co-owner of patent 5,920,938 and has over 25 years experience in the design and construction of buildings, highways, bridges, temporary systems, and construction management.  

Recent publications and awards: Collaboration on the Rock Creek Bridge Project and demonstration of patent 5,920,938 on the Smith Point Bridge in Humboldt County.  He is the chairman of the City of Arcata’s Transportation Safety Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Transactions User Tax Oversight Committee, a Board member of the Arcata Economic Development Corporation serving on the loan committee, and a member of the Humboldt Builders Exchange, and a Rotarian.

Building project history:  The Priestly Office/Apartment in Arcata, the Alder Canyon Townhouses in Arcata, Scenic View Stay in Arcata, custom homes, Caltrans Maintenance Stations in Weaverville, Fortuna, Bridgeville, Fort Bragg, Manchester and Boonville.

Highway project history:  Redwood National Park Bypass, rehabilitation projects on Broadway in Eureka, Garberville, Kelseyville, Ridgewood Grade, Middletown, Lucerne, Clearlake Oaks, Highway 53 Expressway, and the Forest Highway new construction on Route 36 in Humboldt and Trinity Counties.

Bridge project history:  Rock Creek Bridge in Mendocino County, Patent demonstration on the Smith Point Bridge in Humboldt County, new bridges and widenings in Plumas, San Bernadino, Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, Lake, Placer, and Merced counties.  Seismic Retrofit work on bridges in Humboldt, Mendocino, Siskiyou and Lake counties.   Bridge Maintenance inspections in Humboldt, Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Yolo, and El Dorado counties.  Bridge types include conventionally reinforced, post-tensioned, steel girder, steel truss, timber, and flatcar.

Temporary Systems includes Patent 5,920,938, bridge falsework, shoring, and scaffolds.

Construction Management includes technical assistance to Humboldt County for the Bear Canyon Creek bridges, Assistant Resident Engineer on the Redwood National Park Bypass, Structure Representative on the Rock Creek Bridge, Resident Engineer and/or Structure Representative on numerous bridges, highways and buildings.  Construction representative for the owner of the Alder Canyon Townhomes, and the Trinidad Rancheria for the Scenic Drive Road Rehabilitation Project.
